Say Yes... Before You Feel Ready!

All you have to do is say YES!

Last week, I went to a comedy show with a couple of coworkers nothing out of the ordinary, just a fun night out. Now if you know me, you already know I have my moments. Those little random thoughts that just come out… sometimes at the perfect time, sometimes completely out of nowhere. We joke about it at work all the time.

So we’re going back and forth, laughing, doing our usual banter… and somehow through a dare I get invited to do improv.

Not “one day.”

Not “maybe later.”

Tonight at the Addison Improv. And instead of overthinking it (which would’ve been my old pattern)…I said yes.

I’m literally driving there and thinking: “What did I just agree to?” I have a five-minute set with no over-preparation and no perfectly mapped-out plan. Just me… showing up.

That’s the part that feels the most aligned. Because this season of my life isn’t about waiting until everything feels perfect. It’s about moving when the opportunity shows up.

Learning Before Even Stepping On Stage

What’s wild is I had already gone to a show that Sunday and just sitting there, observing, I picked up so much:

How important presence is

How clarity in your message matters

How energy can either connect… or completely miss

Some performers were amazing. Some… were learning in real time just like me. Only on Sunday they were the teacher and me, the student sitting in the crowd. I had just agreed to switch places with them.

You don’t have to be perfect to start. You just have to go. I am Be Worthy Lifestyle. That night when I stepped on that stage, that’s what I’m bringing with me. My voice. Now I am well on my way to do something completely outside my comfort zone.

Not fully ready.

Not fully certain.

But fully willing.

Because sometimes the next version of you is waiting on the other side of a Yes!
